Your first
colon hydrotherapy (or colonic lavage) session will be scheduled for 1½ hours. This will
allow for a detailed consultation to take place and to discuss your
desires/concerns with the practitioner. Any subsequent session will be booked
for 60 minutes.

During the treatment itself you will be fully covered and a blanket will be
placed over you to maintain your privacy. You will be comfortably lying on your
left side with your knees slightly bent at the start of the treatment. A
disposable speculum is lubricated and gently introduced to approximately two
inches. Once in place, you will be asked to lie on your back with your knees
slightly bent.
Body temperature water is then introduced through a thin tube via the speculum
into the colon at a slow and safe rate to ensure minimal amount of pressure.
During the course of a number of "fills" and "releases", approximately five to
seven litres of filtered water is used during the total procedure, but only one
or two litres are maintained internally at any one time. The water flow and its
temperature are always under direct control of the therapist.
The action of filling the colon eventually stimulates the smooth muscle of your
colon to contract enabling encrusted waste, mucous and toxic matter to be
eliminated. Our colonic irrigation system is totally enclosed, which means that the waste leaves
the body via a separate larger tube and enters directly into the sewage system,
so there is no unpleasant odour. Special massage techniques are applied to the
abdominal area during the release to help stimulate the dislodgement of unwanted
matter. In addition at Boda, we use the "Dotolo Toxygen" which is the latest
model from equipment maker Dotolo, widely acknowledged as the premium colon
hydrotherapy equipment maker worldwide.
The therapist remains by your side throughout the treatment, which usually lasts
45 minutes, depending on the body's response.
After the treatment, daily duties can be resumed as normal. In fact, most people
experience an increased sense of wellness, feeling lighter and more energetic.
Following the initial treatment we recommend a follow-up session after a period
of one week. For most people we recommend an initial course of 3-4 colonics,
followed then by maintenance as appropriate. Clients presenting with chronic
digestive system complaints may however require more frequent colon hydrotherapy
treatments. Your therapist will be able to discuss this with you and help you to
plan a treatment programme that best meets your health needs.
All medical information obtained on a hard copy during your initial consultation
are kept in strictest confidence.
