Colonics
Time to detox? Time for your next Colonic.
Nov 17th
Today’s entry is aimed specifically at those who’ve had colonics before and are wondering when would be the right time to come back for a follow-up session.
Most people who follow our 14 Day or 21 Day programs incorporating a series of colonics (usually three) in conjunction with our cleansing diet plan, find at the end of it that the body has reset to a healthier place and everything feels and works better. So when discussing when to come back in, I always say do it in when you feel you need to. How long that takes obviously varies greatly depending on the person’s More >
Where do Colonics fit in with health maintenance?
Oct 28th
Colon hydrotherapy is a subject which often draws a polarized response, often anything from utter intrigue to downright horror! I thought then that I’d put something together that might answer some basic questions, explain where I think it has its place and hopefully demystify a subject which is often poorly understood.

Firstly I’ll answer some of the questions up front which undoubtedly some of you have (I get asked these all the time);
‘Does stuff get stuck up there that has been in there for years?’ This one is similar to “have I ever seen a marble or crayon that More >
Gas, Gas and more Gas – an observation from the viewing tube
Jul 28th
During these recent winter months, I heavily suspect the reason that I’ve encountered more clients than usual having high intestinal pressure / gas issues during their colonics is due to their diets gravitating more towards refined carbs (breads / pastries / pasta’s etc) along with refined sugars. Whilst these foods can be comforting and give us a quick energy boost (and hence help stave off the effects of the cold weather), their downside is that they tend to contribute significantly to creating excess gases throughout our digestive system. Cold weather aside though, truth is, having high intestinal pressure is far more the rule than the exception these days. As it’s an issue More >
Cleanse / Re-balance / Re-populate – The Keys to Recovering Intestinal Health
May 24th
As the Colon Hydrotherapist here at Boda Wellbeing, I see plenty of people who come in with obvious issues with their intestinal health, be it digestion problems caused by food allergies (gluten, lactose intolerance etc), acid reflux, candida (yeast overgrowth), to IBS and Constipation etc. Then there is the portion of clients (probably 40-50%) who come in with regular bowel function and appear to have good digestion but want to tune-up and detox by clearing out toxins.
Despite the range of reasons and levels of health people come in with, the reality is that it’s rare that I treat someone and not encounter quite significant symptoms of gastrointestinal More >
Constipation… Time to talk about it.
Mar 3rd
Constipation is a familiar condition for most of us at some point in our lives, usually it is temporary and resolves on its own, but for many it is chronic, frustrating, and can cause significant discomfort and problems. In fact the New England Journal of Medicine in October 2003, stated that constipation is a problem for up to 27% of the population of Western countries. Despite being a relatively common complaint though, constipation if it is discussed in public at all, is usually done in either hushed tones, or through a “joke”, so as to avoid embarrassment.
So, why is constipation, More >
Hydration: the key to any Detox Program
Oct 18th
With beach weather not far away, a detox eating plan combined with colon hydrotherapy is a great way to throw off sluggishness and tone up before pulling out the swim wear. With water not far from the mind then, I thought it would be useful to take a moment to remind ourselves of the importance of water in the cleansing process.
With detox very much in vogue these days there is no shortage of detox products, kits and programs out in the market, many of them promising amazing results in days. Whilst some of these products can have dramatic detoxifying effects, what More >
